Data needs context for authoritative decision-making. Data, especially metadata, has been removed from its context, as a result of the fundamental error focusing solely on technology rather than the data. New data sets spawn new projects in silos and complexity has increased, shifting governance and integration work back to customers. To remedy this self-service access to trusted business data needs to be delivered in business terms with real-time data to support business insights and analytics across hybrid and multi-cloud.
