Ransomware Resilience: Embedding Operational Trust at Every Level
This session examined how government can strengthen ransomware resilience by embedding operational trust across systems, people, and processes.
With ransomware attacks now a national resilience issue, the government needed to move beyond perimeter defence to embed trust deep into systems, people and processes. This session drew on Zero Trust principles, ASD’s Modern Defensible Architecture and the Essential Eight to guide operational uplift.
We explored:
The current ransomware threat landscape and response imperatives
Building recovery-ready operations to reduce downtime and preserve trust
Embedding Zero Trust pillars into systems and workforce behaviours
Aligning with IRAP standards and information security control frameworks
Designed for technology leaders, operations managers and cyber teams, the session provided practical tools to bolster frontline resilience and ensure service continuity even under attack.
