In this Welcome from the Chair session, we hear insights from Phaedra Boinodiris, Global Leader for Trustworthy AI, IBM on the challenges of AI governance. Our government leader further discusses the relationship we want to have with AI and three key principles to help guide that relationship - the purpose of AI to augment human intelligence, a statement about consent, the importance of transparency and explainability. Our speaker stresses that we need a holistic approach but that the biggest challenge is people and culture do to the numerous biases that exist in humans which then transfer to the AI technology through the data that we choose.
