The NSW Health Public Dental Conference, Future ready: Intelligent systems, healthier communities, is a flagship statewide event that brings together oral health professionals, health leaders, policymakers, academics and industry partners. Held on 21–22 October 2026 at Twin Towns, Tweed Heads, the conference will showcase innovation, support knowledge sharing and strengthen collaboration across metropolitan, regional and rural services. The first focus is on the future of public oral health services, exploring global trends, emerging technologies, and innovative models of care that are transforming the sector. Attendees will hear from industry leaders, clinicians and technology experts on topics including digital dentistry, prescribing practices, scanning technologies and the use of technology to improve specialist care delivery across metropolitan, regional and rural communities.

The first day will conclude with a collaborative panel discussion and then a networking reception, providing attendees with the opportunity to connect with peers, industry partners and leaders from across NSW Health and the broader oral health community.

Focus two is on workforce wellbeing, communication and the delivery of safe, high-quality patient care. Sessions will explore important topics including burnout prevention, consent scenarios, career discussion covering different professions, communication for safe care and the evolving role of AI and digital technologies within dentistry.

The program will also showcase practical clinical discussions, emerging technologies and collaborative panel sessions designed to support continuous learning, strengthen professional networks and encourage knowledge sharing across the sector.
