Overview
In 2027, cyber security in Victoria will be defined by confidence: the ability for government agencies to keep delivering trusted services, make informed decisions and embrace innovation while operating in an environment of constant digital disruption.
As artificial intelligence becomes embedded across government operations, cyber risk is evolving beyond traditional security boundaries. Victorian agencies must now consider how emerging technologies, interconnected ecosystems, third-party dependencies and increasing public expectations impact their ability to govern, protect and maintain essential services.
Set against the backdrop of the Silver Review, a $4B savings agenda, entity consolidation and a whole-of-government push on responsible AI, cyber leaders are being asked to do more with tighter budgets, sharper accountability and higher public trust expectations than ever before.
