Overview
The Aged Care sector is undergoing significant changes; from strengthened regulations, to the new Aged Care Act and ongoing workforce challenges. In light of these transformative measures, the Public Sector Network presents this Masterclass. Developed especially for aged care leaders and practitioners, this workshop will cover the importance of clinical governance in the effective operation of aged care services – particularly in this current landscape.
It will highlight the common misconception that clinical governance is simply a box-ticking exercise and emphasises the need to implement clinical governance practices that have a positive impact on point of care outcomes for older people.
It will also tackle the challenges faced by aged care services in meeting clinical governance requirements, particularly in the context of the Strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards.
Though a mix of presentations, discussions, and activities, it will provide you with practical strategies to get the leadership, content, and implementation of clinical governance right, and to build an organisation that is truly effective in improving the quality of care delivered to older people.
