Sensor Dynamics are a local engineering company the develops products utilising computer vision (cameras) combined with our locally developed Machine Learning and AI algorithms to identify and classify vehicles. The company is based in Melbourne and develops all products and systems in house. We have the ability to design and build systems from concept to deployment and ongoing maintenance. We can provide true turnkey solutions. For the ITS space we specialise in providing systems using cameras to identify and collect classification data on heavy vehicles. When a vehicle drives past a camera, we take that image and process it through our edge devices. We collect real time data on the vehicle that includes the license plate, make, model, colour and type of vehicle. We can also advise on the load that is being carried and the lane location of the vehicle. The system identifies heavy vehicles and classifies them into different categories to provide data on the type and size of heavy vehicles that are using the roads and critical infrastructure such as bridges or in curfew zones. The system can also advise if the heavy vehicle is complying with permit conditions such a centre line straddling and time conditions. The classification data can be combined with other sensors such as Weigh in Motions (WIMS), strain gauges on bridges, audio sensors to detect noise and air quality monitoring. The system can also track vehicles across areas/regions. Of course, the data can be combined with our vehicle identification data such as the license plate.
