GFA's Fellowship Program

Govern For America recruits and connects exceptional early career leaders from diverse backgrounds to high-impact government roles and supports them in developing critical public sector leadership skills. Government agencies hire GFA Fellows for a two-year term, and GFA provides the support and training that Fellows need to make an outsized impact in their roles. Since our inaugural cohort in 2019, GFA has placed 93 Fellows in 38 state agencies across 10 states, working in policy & data roles across Departments of housing, health, education, economic development, revenue, and more.
