Financial, Administrative and Professional Services Training Council (FAPSTC)

Operating since 1992, FAPSTC is one of nine industry training advisory bodies recognised in WA’s Vocational Education and Training Act 1996. We provide strategic insight and direction to the Department of Training and Workforce Development (DTWD) and the State Training Board (STB) on matters relating to changes impacting industry, emerging influences on workforce development, skills shortages and training issues.

We represent and advocate for industry to support skills development and access to relevant training services and to optimise employment opportunities and the availability of appropriately skilled labour across each of our industry areas. Our work informs the State Training Plan, WA’s Vocational and Education Training policy and funding priorities based on identified priority occupations, and the establishment and variation of traineeships.
