Digital inequality is a major issue in Australia, and without dedicated efforts to make digital services accessible and inclusive, citizens will be left behind.

Some major problems outlined by the report include a lack of mobile applications (4 million Australians access the internet solely on a mobile device), the low percentage (25%) of government websites that have digital form/signature options, and the even lower (4%) of government websites that offer content in multiple languages.

Considering that most critical services are now being delivered online, Government must address these deficits to ensure that all communities are able to access and engage with government services.
