On 5 March 2020 Public Sector Network (PSN) partnered with the Western Australian Government
to present the WA Government Innovation Showcase 2020, a one-day event intended to explore and advance the WA Government’s Innovation and Digital Transformation strategies.
The event provided an important space for the WA public sector to explore the challenges and opportunities involved in transforming WA Government services. With around 335 mostly WA public sector attendees (including around 10% from local government), the event featured important presentations and panel discussions from senior WA public servants (including a number of Directors General), who were frank
and honest about the opportunities for pursuing innovation and digital transformation.
This report is an overview of the themes discussed during the day and interviews conducted with
senior public servants by PSN. It also contains the results of polling conducted at the event.
