Driving Innovation, Shaping Alberta's Future

The first ever Government Innovation Week Alberta is coming to Edmonton in 2025 as the province’s leading technology and transformation event for the public sector. Delivered in partnership with the Ministry of Technology and Innovation, this two-day event will delve into GoA’s priority areas and advancements, including: digital identity implementation, policy updates, investments in AI infrastructure, and public sector modernization, this FREE event offers an unparalleled platform for collaboration, insights, and innovation across all levels of government.

This year’s expanded program tackles Alberta’s most urgent challenges—from responsibly embedding AI in public service to modernizing cloud infrastructure, enhancing digital identity, and scaling citizen-centric solutions. With dedicated tracks on Cybersecurity, Data & AI, Digital Experience, IT Modernization, and Workforce Transformation, the agenda captures Alberta’s dynamic tech landscape—keeping Albertans at the heart of progress.

Join us in Edmonton to accelerate your organization’s digital strategy, strengthen inter-agency partnerships, and be part of Alberta’s public sector transformation journey.

These events are fantastic because we get to talk with like-minded people who face the same issues. Sometimes, we come up with solutions during discussions or identify a vendor who can help resolve problems within our organizations.

What your peers had to say

Great way to network and find out what is going on in the sector and projects across other ministries- we don’t share outside a facilitated event like this

I had a great time! The networking was ideal and I learned a lot from the speeches and panels. I appreciate that none of the sessions were lengthy, it was great variety. Also - great food and snacks!
