CASE STUDIES

2023 Event Overview

Everything is data. From solving long-term problems to making crucial immediate decisions, the continuum through data
collection, management, and storage, to analytics, visualisation, and public awareness, is a valuable practice for government
leaders to lean on. But where is the balance between seeing
people as data and people as people? Being informed by
numbers, or informed by real citizen voices?

Held across 6 locations, Data and Analytics Series for 2023, we questioned some of the paradoxical elements of our contemporary, digitally informed public sector, and how we can best maximise the potential of modern technologies such as Machine Learning and AI whilst possessing an assured level of integrity and therefore keeping citizen trust firmly intact.

What Your Peers Had To Say

I enjoyed the event and was reassured to know that my pain points re data, especially concerning information privacy, are shared across many jurisdictions.

Department of Transport and Main Roads

The breakout sessions were exceptionally good, well mediated and everybody participated well.

Bureau of Meteorology

It is always great to see how other departments identify and deliver solutions from an end-to-end process and the challenges that were faced along the way which can formulate lessons learned for others when doing similar projects.
