OUR STORY

Andrew Horabin became a professional speaker and facilitator in 1993, aged 18. After initially promoting himself to schools (working with 50, 000 students and staff over 15 years), he gradually began working with clients in big and small businesses, local, state, and federal government, professional associations, and community organisations in every different field, trade or industry you could name.

He also delivered specialist work with state and federal police (with agents from 40 countries), including undercover police, surveillance operatives, source handlers, intel analysts, detectives, and senior managers of crime.

Taking up stand-up comedy greatly enhanced his performance skills and insights into people and language.

Between 1995 - 2004, Andrew worked with a business partner. Together, they employed 20 people in four states. In 2004, they dissolved the partnership and Andrew continued his work and exploration of communication and collaboration. In 2008, he wrote Bullshift, based on 15 years of experience consulting, teaching, and leading teams and projects and in 2015, he decided to dedicate himself completely to the learning and teaching of conscious communication through humour – and started The Bullshift Company.

The Bullshift Company is now a core team of eight people working from our Perth office and an extended team of 30+ collaborators contributing to creating our learning resources. We deliver to thousands of people across Australia and overseas.

We would not be able to achieve our purpose and keep growing and succeeding if we did not use the very principles and habits we teach. We’re proof that it works. And we enjoy it – we listen, we laugh, we learn. That’s what we do.
