eHealth NSW
Harnessing digital technology to deliver better patient care
eHealth NSW is dedicated to transforming care delivery and experiences across the state by providing secure, modern digital systems and infrastructure. We work in partnership with local health districts, specialty health networks and other NSW Health organisations to implement digital services and solutions.
Non-technical measures, such as cyber security education for staff, are critical to keeping our information safe and secure. Technical measures, like MedSync, enable virtual clinical collaboration so clinicians can share clinical information and images securely. It’s also a great example of how we’ve partnered with industry to create innovative healthcare solutions.
We are progressing the Single Digital Patient Record (SDPR) – a a next-generation system that will enhance experiences of care by giving clinicians access to a patient’s medical information in real-time, from a single source. The Health Grade Enterprise Network (HGEN) new procurement approach for ICT networking infrastructure also strengthens virtual care capabilities. Our move to cloud adoption is delivering greater speed, and reliability to essential systems underpinning care delivery.
High-quality, integrated, accessible solutions promote digital system adoption. Involving consumers, our colleagues and industry partners is vital in delivering systems that meet their needs and the needs of the health system.
