Overview

As the NSW Government continues digital transformation —the pressure in 2025 is mounting for public sector leaders to drive people-centred, system-wide reform that delivers tangible outcomes.

But while momentum is building, many digital initiatives still underperform—not due to technology constraints, but because of challenges in change management, cross-agency coordination, and stakeholder alignment. As highlighted in the NSW Digital Government Strategy, sustainable transformation hinges on building the internal capacity to lead change across complex and resource-constrained environments.

This course is designed to close that gap.

Grounded in real-world examples from NSW agencies—the program supports staff from Grade 9/10 through to Senior Executive levels in navigating the human side of digital reform.

Participants will gain practical tools to:

  • Lead and embed change across interdepartmental initiatives,
  • Manage stakeholder resistance and alignment,
  • Deliver reform that lasts beyond project cycles.

With NSW agencies like Digital.NSW, Department of Customer Service, eHealth NSW, and Transport for NSW at the forefront of national transformation efforts, this training helps build the next generation of strategic, capable public sector leaders ready to deliver digital government for all.

Who Should Attend?

This course is designed for NSW public sector professionals at Grade 9/10 through to Senior Executive Band 2, including senior leaders responsible for policy, service delivery, digital transformation, and operational performance. It is particularly well-suited to Directors, Executive Directors, and Branch or Cluster Heads who are seeking to better align strategic intent with delivery on the ground, navigate complex change environments, and drive sustainable outcomes across government.
