What’s In A Name?

Nearly 20 years ago, our founders attended a conference where a CIO of a major financial institution expressed frustration to a room of peers. He felt like a “magic orange” because, every year at budget time, his CFO would ask him to cut 10% without reducing services. Yet, year after year, the same request returned, as if the IT budget was an orange that could be endlessly squeezed while keeping its shape. This image stuck and inspired our company’s name.
