Overview
2024 has witnessed a significant rise in the use of AI within the public sector. From predicting the outcomes of tax cases and streamlining temporary visa applications to promoting diversity in hiring and supporting green initiatives in government departments, AI’s applications are both vast and varied. The appeal of streamlined processes, optimized projects, and freeing up capacity for strategic work is increasingly attractive in a world where competing priorities are the norm.
However, not all AI projects go as planned, and many questions remain unanswered — ranging from concerns about bias to data security and transparency. How can the public sector navigate this complex landscape as AI continues to expand? This course has been designed with these challenges in mind.
This practical workshop is tailored for those new to AI, aiming to demystify its inner workings, risks, and challenges. Participants will gain insights to drive innovative yet responsible AI adoption in the public sector.
