Government Innovation
Washington

Event Overview

Over the past year, Washington’s public sector professionals have achieved incredible strides in modernizing government to work more efficiently and effectively for all Washingtonians. This commitment has laid the groundwork to keep the State’s innovative momentum going and encourages government leaders to reach even higher.

As Washington’s government agencies gear up for a new set of ambitious policy goals, there is ample opportunity for partnership, collaboration, and innovation. From updating and standardizing technologies, to forming partnerships between seemingly disparate agencies, to dedicating resources and adequately addressing the needs of marginalized communities – the sky is the limit. Still, many public sector agencies and departments continue to operate in siloed or disconnected arenas. Moreover, perennial constraints like resourcing, disjointed legacy systems, and talent acquisition and institutional know-how remain top of mind challenges.

How can Washington’s public sector build on the past year’s successes? What new collaborations and conversations can take place to further the State’s goals? How can government entities engage with Washingtonians to ensure that residents’ voices are heard, and needs are met?

Public Sector Network’s second-annual Government Innovation Washington program will explore these questions – and more! Our speaker faculty – comprised of leaders from all levels of government from across the State and region – will share their cutting-edge initiatives and collaborative projects. This one-day program provides the ideal space for networking and sharing best practices – join the conversation!

What Your Peers Had to Say

“Great lineup of speakers and panelists! It’s always great to hear about what others in the Industry are doing and positively impacting others.”
 – U.S. Department of Veteran’s Affairs

“Very compelling to hear other leaders around the country trying to tackle these difficult questions. This is an opportunity to hear what has worked (or not) and spark ideas for our own communities.”
 – City of Richmond, Virginia

“The information was very practical and highlighted everyday issues we encounter. I believe case studies help a lot in making the case for some of the more abstract concepts, so the real scenarios were really useful.”
– Broward County, Florida
