2022 Dedicated Streams
Policy
The policy stream will focus on developing and implementing a robust cyber strategy that mitigates risk while supporting the effective use of emerging technologies. We will discuss recruitment, upskilling employees and diversifying employment, which remain key challenges.
Incident Response
The incident response stream will discuss managing threat, who takes what role in an incident and where responsibilities should be allocated. Cyber leaders will dissect a recent breach in NSW to highlight what lessons can be learned.
What Your Peers Had To Say

“We’ve got a lot of work to do in creating our cyber culture across not only our department but the sector. There’s an education piece that needs to be tailored and it really has to start from the top and be fed down.”

“I think it’d be really interesting to use artificial intelligence to manage cyber security threats to learn what’s happening and leverage machine learning to actually put better cyber security threat management.”

“This event has been really great so far and as mentioned before, the more that we can meet and work together – industry, media, government and audit to have a more constructive conversation, the better it will be!”

“Cyber Security is everyone’s responsibility – so whether it be at Secretary level, our Chief Information Officers, right down to each individual in our department. It really is about using every opportunity we have available to us to ensure the rollout of awareness campaigns to consistently and constantly educate those across the sector in relation to cyber security.”
